Question the Prime Minister

1

the Downing Street website aka tony”s portal will be broadcasting an “exclusive interview” with the Prime Minister tomorrow - and stop press! you will be able to ask him questions.

“The new forum is open to anyone and is an opportunity for the public to challenge the PM on any subject they wish, just as MPs do every Wednesday at Prime Minister”s Questions Time.”

Apparently the interviewers choose the questions ( not his team) : Sarah Sands of the Daily Mail and Michael White of The Guardian.

You can email your questions to questions@pmo.gov.uk

Apparently the broadcast will start at 5 pm tomorrow, and you”ve got till 12 noon to email them the questions. I remember the last time they had such a webcast, tony was late!

e-Government strategies for central and local government 2006-7

the e-government national conference is being held at the Savoy Hotel, London on 25th January, and this precedes the evening awards ceremony.

The conference is aimed at senior officials in local and central government - and will be a briefing on the the central and local e-Government agenda & strategy for 2006-7. There’s a also a “high-value” KPMG consultancy session on how best to plan to achieve e-Government targets.

[ the big boys are in there first again. though other news from publictechnology.net is heartening in terms of small organizations and the open-source world as opposed to the usual big un-innovative IT beasts]
