It slowly stops living. Your periods stop. followed by a cheerful fourth sentence: Your bowels stop. The book was "Eating Disorders, the facts" by Suzanne Abraham and Derek Llewellyn-Jones (OUP) I am reading this in the library, and so, following your advice, I took the first book to hand that was in English (this is Amsterdam) and I read this:
