I'm a sucker for high heels, but I try to only buy pairs that I can survive standing up on the train for my morning commute while wearing. Some pairs that I own would never pass this test, but they are from when I was young and silly (LOL, i still am!). I love flip flops and open toe shoes, but my new job has this whole "no-open toe shoe" rule... I noticed that my boss has being pretty much ignoring it the past 3 weeks, I wonder if I can get away with some nice slides! I definitely understand what you mean about comfort vs. appearance.
