Daniel,

Your approach to the issue would validate ethnic saturation prior to expropriation. Thus, in time, China, amongst others, would have full and legitimate claim on Tibet. My mind is 'made up' on the basis of logic and reason. If you can logically dispute the above, i would be most happy to consider it and reorientate my perspective.

I call for the unification of the Arab and Jewish people, not for the latter to 'get the fuck out' of the region. A two-state 'solution' is a validation of 'The Colonial Right of Acquisiton and Disposal and expropriation via ethnic saturation.

Hi Mark (Poetryman) - good to hear from you = I've added a link to you. I like your line - don't burn the flag - wash it!

I do think that the US's influence has turned it into an unfair situation - where the sides aren't able to negotiate between themselves equally.

Sigh.

The peace movement is diverse in Israel. Most are Zionists, some are communists who believe in no state Palestinian or Israeli, and some others are Palestinains who believe like the Peace Zioniststs in a two state solution. To Inquisior I can say if you would read more in depth about the Palestinian founding days and in particular the Zionist Socialists and Labour movements you would discover a lot of pacifist ideology. One example would be Anita Shapita's work called Land and Power, The zionists resort to force.
I do not agree straight with your analyisis of taken away land. This is today beyond any consideration including amongst many of the Palestinian circles. As many said over and over again, the tragedy of the region here is that tehre are two people with equal rights to one land. It appears to me in that case that a reenegotiated (between the two parties concerned) two state solution is the best in the circumstances. But I am sure you already have made up yoyr minjd, no matter how much people open themselves up for this and fuuly appreciate Arabs as equql neighbours, there will remain folk like you running around and peroclaining Jews should get the fuck out of there. In that way your comment is deeply offensive and counter productive to Palestinians and Israelis who like to get on and live side by side and even embrace Jews in Palestine and Arabs in Israel. Further the crisis at the moment can not be a case on Israel's legitimacy. Perhaps you would care to find a few words on the desctructive ideologies as is present in Hizbollah. And if you think you want to excuse their actions, because your anti colonial heart cries out for Hizbollah, who people like Galloway glorify, well then it is unclear why we should not excuse unerstand and excuse Israel's.

Hi Sonia,

"Still in any case i’ve no idea whether those groups protesting consider themselves Zionist"

That thought did, briefly, cross my mind. However,

It matters little whether they consider themselves to be 'Zionist', this is implied if they do not seek to dismantle the Jewish state or seek a union with Arabia. Zionism, after all, is the belief in the right of the diasporic Jewish people to unite and maintain a state in the locality now known as Israel.

As a political blogger, who is sickened by these latest actions by Israel, I feel the best solution is for the US to cease its biased funding of Israel such as delivering weaponry to an already powerful war machine, 2nd to the US is my calculation of Israel's military strength... Peace begets peace all else is folly...

Sonia,
I would like to exchange links with you my friend... You may peruse my homepage to view my blog. I love your strong voice of peace...

Sincerely,
Mark (thepoetryman)

interesting point.

Still in any case i've no idea whether those groups protesting consider themselves Zionist etc. etc. - perhaps Daniel can give us an idea.

A shared government is definitely the way forward.
