Web Braille offers access to thousands of electronic braille books on the Internet for the use of eligible braille readers by the Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS).On May 11th 2006 NLS made the following announcement on the Web Braille website:

“Because of technical and security difficulties, Web Braille will be unavailable in the near future. NLS regrets the inconvenience and will provide further information as soon as possible.”

Unacceptable and unfair - this needs to be resolved immediately! Please add your voice and sign the online petition- they need to sort this out ASAP.

Geek News Central have posted an article on this.
Thanks…

Digg is fun and I hope we can do something to help the Egyptian blogger in prison. The friend in question was supposed to work with me on our main project and then pulled out with not so much as an SMS or email. Then three weeks later we meet and it’s all smiles. Trust is what friendship is all about. Anyway enough moaning, life goes on.

Without meaning any disrespect to you guys, I would still like to tell you that just good intentions never acheive anything. To achieve any great mission, concrete steps have to be taken and most important of all human beings have to develop new technologies by using their brain.

yes i dont imagine we developed new technologies using anything else? what did you have in mind iC?

anyway Ceri you’re right re: Alaa and digg is both fun and a great way to gain visibility. ive registered - and added you to my network - and seeing there are so many of us bloggers out there - if we all decide a story is important then that’s really powerful way to harness our collective effort.

Sure, but the software on digg can be a bit cranky at times.
