friday the 13th: the unluckiest day of all?
January 13, 2006 – 5:43 pmcareful everyone, today is friday the 13th. how and why did this superstition come about?
*Friday the 13th of October 1307 *- the day all the Templars in france were arrested by Philip IV ( called Philip the Fair and King of France from 1285-1314) on a variety of wild charges and accusations.
goes a long way to perpetuate friday the 13th folklore and myth - after all anything associated with Templar history usually excites a whole crowd of people ( ;-)).
at any rate scholars are unable to document the existence of such beliefs prior to the 19th century, and many attribute them to 20th century media hype. Possibly a decade or more of the ever-recurring Jason may have had something to do with this!
Paraskevidekatriaphobia : fear of friday the 13th apparently US businesses lose $ 750 million on this day because some people refuse to shop, travel or take risks on Friday the 13th. ( presumably why there’s a word for it, heh heh)

Hey, just as I had imagined… this friday the 13th was a bad day for the corrupt criminals that manipulate our history.
A great day for freedom, equality and justice.
Friday the 13th will be a lucky day in my opinion.
A day to celebrate.

There is a way to avoid bad luck on Friday the 13th.
Wake up in the morning before sunrise and come out of the house to stand under a tree of dense foliage. So that when the sun rises, the sun’s rays filter down through the foliage and fall on your head. Believe me this is bound to bring good luck and keep evil spirits at bay. Sonia has been doing this everytime there is a 13th on Friday.
As an added precaution, you may also make it a point to drink water only from polished brass tumblers on Friday 13th.
Brass tumbler have the power to keep evil spirits at bay.
Naturally drinking, smoking, gambling, eating fatty foods and having sex more than once is not advisable on such days. Those living in northern hemisphere are also advised to carry in their pockets African totems made out of pigs intestines. Those living in the southern atmosphere may carry the same totems made out of Sheep’s intestines.
