women in the city

NY: A group of female employees yesterday filed a $1.4 billion discrimination suit against Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. Something to do with ’second-class citizens’ and being fed-up of the old boys network…well i guess the litany of complaints ain’t nothing new and probably won’t shock anyone, but hey, at least someone’s got the guts to stand up for themselves.
oooh the poor dears ( the bank, not the ladies..) - what next? will have to keep our eyes peeled. check out the Guardian’s story here. Of course we could have guessed a pun on Sex and the City would have come along sooner or later, the Independent is covering the story as Sexism and the City: ” Not so much Sex and the City as sex discrimination in the city.” snigger. well good luck to the plaintiffs.

The case is Hart v. Dresdner, 06-CV-134, filed under the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
