Time magazine’s Person of the Year: Bono
December 22, 2005 – 1:25 pmTime magazine has named U2 star Bono - and Bill and Melinda Gates -as its “Persons of the Year,” citing their charitable work and activism aimed at reducing global poverty and improving world health. This is of course set against the backdrop of a year which has seen numerous natural disasters- from the tsunami in South Asia to Hurricane Katrina, and the Live 8 efforts.
“For being shrewd about doing good, for rewiring politics and re-engineering justice, for making mercy smarter and hope strategic and then daring the rest of us to follow, Bill and Melinda Gates and Bono are Time’s Persons of the Year.”

Melinda is allright. Why? because she is spending money that she and her husband have earned by their own labor and enterprise.
Bono is a scumbag of the worst category, because creates music from his butt and then expects us to pay for listening his fart. Thanks to TIME all of humanity to has to be insulted by having a farting popstar named as person of the year.
Have human standards fallen so low….

ho ho what funny comments there always are. Bihari Babu seems to have overlooked the fact that Bono is also spending money that he has earned by his own labor and enterprise.
