Eid Mubarak

November 3, 2005 – 7:34 pm

Happy Eid everyone! and Happy Diwali as well - for a couple of days ago.

there’s an event in Harrow celebrating both these occasions - ” a vibrant and diverse display of music and dance” - this saturday - 5th November. It’s called “Festival of Light” and brings together performers from community and faith groups across Harrow.

of course, saturday 5th november is also Bonfire Night. just think - a real excuse for fireworks.

What’s happening across London in terms of fireworks displays - well the one that interests me is the Shakespeare’s Globe Fireworks Display - at Bankside Pier at 7.30pm on Saturday, launched from a barge on the Thames. Street-theatre group The Lions Part will be performing for the crowds from 7pm onwards, and best of all! - its free.
