war with iran: frank gaffney of the Center for Security Policy last night was informing Paxman and the world on Newsnight that it was ‘pretty obvious that the Iranian threat is getting worse by the minute’ and that there’s no time to be pussyfooting around. ‘Military action is certainly an option’ and regime change is necessary in the face of the ‘danger’ from ‘nuclear weapons’. And its all to help the Iranians within who want a regime change. And what about the fact that the military option has been shown not to workand not in the ‘locals’ advantage? - ah well.
then this morning’s Guardian shows that Mr. Blair repeating this message and strongly underlining how Iran is a ‘world threat’.
and meanwhile - Israel goes on a ”diplomatic offensive” (?) - and ‘cranks up the pressure.
This afternoon the newswires are all about how ‘Iran remains defiant’.
All this whilst the White House in in crisis, with the Miers hoo-ha and the Rove debacle..what a lot of fun there must be brewing in D.C. right now.
