limehouse town hall
October 4, 2005 – 12:12 pmanway - just wanted to mention how WSFII went this weekend. i didn’t catch very much of it, but it was great the bits i did catch. the panel on Community Currencies was very interesting - and for someone like me - who doesn’t know anything abour currencies, it was very useful.
Also - i wanted to say that the venue - Limehouse Town Hall - was just a brilliant, intriguing space - and there’s an old cemetery right behind it as well. Lots of lovely wrought iron balustrading etc. all over the place.
The Limehouse Town Hall Consortium (LTHC) are the clever people who manage this space - they’re a “a culturally diverse group of charitable organisations, creative enterprises, artists and co-operatives” .. and ” share a strong commitment to the development of socially engaged cultural and educational projects.”
if i can find any pics on the net of the Town Hall i shall stick em on this site.
p.s. i haven’t yet considered the ‘copyright’ issue — i have been sticking up images willy nilly. ah well.
