from broadsheet to berliner

the Guardian is out in the berliner format now, like Le Monde. for those in the world who arent up in newspaper sizes ( my gawd..) take a look at this wonderful wikipedia article. * yes perhaps i should rename this blog to something like Useless Trivia *

  2. The Guardian move is interesting. Not just the sudden disappearance of Doonesbury. The entire perception is different. Tabloid-size hammering down the advertising rates. Offset by full colour. A masthead which seems as if it’s about to float away. A feel of fantasy. Offset by the “sleek” design. The popup feel is good. Do you remember popup books? Such fun!

    i do remember the thrill of pop-up books: actually i remember the thrill of books period. god it was so damn exciting im glad i learned to read early.
