The Guardian move is interesting. Not just the sudden disappearance of Doonesbury. The entire perception is different. Tabloid-size hammering down the advertising rates. Offset by full colour. A masthead which seems as if it’s about to float away. A feel of fantasy. Offset by the “sleek” design. The popup feel is good. Do you remember popup books? Such fun!
Re-appearance of Doonesbury - you clearly weren’t the only one!
i do remember the thrill of pop-up books: actually i remember the thrill of books period. god it was so damn exciting im glad i learned to read early.
