July 14, 2005 – 12:49 pmSo we all went outside to mark the “silence”. Apparently Ken wanted everyone out on the streets so that we could all see each other - and we were on Waterloo Rd, and it’s so funny - the buses and traffic all stopped. Just as well since there were a whole bunch of people standing on the road : funny thing is normally you wouldn’t see these people stopping traffic by placing themselves in the way of traffic. You wouldn’t see them out on the street doing anything other than carrying on with their own business and their own lives. never fails to amaze me the extent of power conformity has on people’s lives. Apart from that bit of critical analysis, the strong sunshine just reminded me of Aug. 2 - now no-one’s going to come out and mark that - but never mind.
